Read all about it;-The polycarbonate domed roof of London's Festival Pier isbright, shiny and free of seagull droppings for only the second time in more than 20 years due to PH Window Cleaning/Graffiti Removal Contractors and their innovative new Omnipole 'hi-reach' system.
Since its construction in 1980 the outside of the Festival Pier roof had never been cleaned because it was impossible to access. Using Omnipole's safe and easy to use hi-reach power pole, PH Cleaning simply attached the new curved ledge and sill extension which is specifically designed to reach inaccessible domed areas. The Omnipole system achieves results without the use of chemicals, preventing additional pollution reaching the Thames.
The Festival Pier roof was accessed from the river by two boats loaded with water storage tanks, the pumping system, and purpose built five stage reverse osmosis system to manufacture pure water and achieve smear free results. The curved ledge and sill extension and the high reach pole provide access to the domed roof without the need for ladders.
The Omnipole system will clean windows, guttering, cladding and roofs up to a height of 60ft using poles constructed from fibreglass, carbon fibre or aerospace grade alloy.
The simple system enabled PH Cleaning to transform Festival Pier quickly and they have now moved on to London River Service's five other piers covered under this contract.
London River Service will now contract PH Cleaning to take care of the piers on a regular monthly basis, saving the cost of regular reglazing.
